Based in Austin, Texas, CINDERS | ENSEMBLE is an instrumental, ambient drone chamber music group formed by keyboardist Kirk Laktas and violist James Alexander in 1998. After a hiatus, the band reformed in 2012 with additional members––guitarist Brian Purington and bassist Giuseppe Antonio Volpi.
